Room with a view

February 29, 2008

We knocked out the bedroom windows. The window facing the neighbors house was blocked permenantly and this window was installed. It looks great and will be much nicer when the shed outside is moved. small-window.jpgsmall-window-outside.jpg

Kithen Footer

February 29, 2008

I dug the footer two weeks ago, that was fun, especially since there is only 3 feet to work with in the crawl space. Then the next day got ten bags of cement to fill it in. Turns out it took 21! bags, that was even more fun. But its done and ready.small-footer.jpgsmall-footings.jpg

2/18 – 2/24

February 27, 2008

Not a crazy productive week. Purchased a lot of supplies (trim, plaster, electrical), I did a ton of research on plaster to fix the old walls and actually did one wall suprisingly well. Jimmy and his brother came out Saturday and got our kitchen raised and new support onto the new poured footings. Also, finished framing the master bathroom ceiling and framed out the window. We’ve got to pick out a window and put it in this week. Pictures and more updates coming later today…
